CDX password/UserID reset

There are a few reasons why a user, permittee or data provider, might be unable to access their accounts:

1. User forgot his/her CDX password

2. User forgot his/her CDX User ID

3. User did not change his/her password after 3 months (password expired)

4. User had too many failed log in attempts.

5. Browser issue (please clear catch by following these steps: Instructions for Clearing Browser Cache.docx  or contact your IT department )



To resolve the first four issues, please login to CDX ( to reset password or user ID by following the steps below: 

1)Click on either link to reset password or user ID. 



2) If you forgot your password:

  • Type in your Email associated with CDX and User ID
  • Check box
  • Click Submit
  • You will receive an email with instructions on how to continue 



3) If you forgot your User ID:

  • Type in your email associated with CDX
  • Check box
  • Click Submit
  • You will receive an email with instructions on how to continue 



4) If you did not change your password after 3 months:

  • Type in current password
  • Create new password
  • Re-enter new password
  • If you forgot current password, you will have to reset password.
  • Follow instructions from step 1.
